Payment is due at the time of service. To avoid a missed appointment fee, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Sliding scale fee available upon request.

Can I Use My Insurance?

I do not accept or bill insurance companies for payment of psychotherapy services. However, most insurance health plans will pay a significant portion of therapy services. For more information, call your insurance provider and ask about your "behavioral health benefits".   I can assist in this process by preparing a monthly statement of services. These statements may then be submitted by you for reimbursement directly from your insurance company.

It is important to know that when clients access therapy through their Managed Care Plan (MCP), their therapist must disclose personal and confidential information, about their treatment, to the MCP. The MCP uses this information to determine benefits which are then allocated at their own discretion. This process can violate client’s rights regarding confidentiality.

Payment

Most of my clients have found that the direct pay option is best suited for their needs. There are several advantages to paying for services directly, on an "as you go" basis. The direct pay option insures your confidentiality, and allows treatment to be guided by clinical issues rather than restrictions and limitations imposed by your insurance provider.  I accept checks, cash, or credit cards.
